Six Ways We Give Back

Each program is run locally by the doctors and teams who live in your community — and funded by Orthivaro, never by patient fees.

Free School Smile Screenings

Our orthodontists visit elementary and middle schools for quick, no-cost bite checks — with a take-home note for parents in English and Spanish.

Smiles for Good

Full orthodontic treatment at no cost for kids and teens whose families couldn’t otherwise afford it — braces, aligners and retainers included.

Bright Futures Scholarships

Every spring we award $2,500 scholarships to graduating seniors headed to college or trade school, with extra awards for future dental professionals.

Hometown Team Sponsorships

From Little League to high-school marching bands, our clinics sponsor more than 1,100 local teams and clubs every year.

Mouthguard Fitting Days

Free sport mouthguards and fittings for youth athletes before football, soccer and basketball seasons — braces-friendly sizes included.

Brush Up Toothbrush Drives

Back-to-school and holiday drives that put toothbrushes, floss and fluoride toothpaste in the hands of kids through food banks and shelters.

Our flagship program

Smiles for Good

Since 2015, Smiles for Good has given more than 3,100 kids and teens complete orthodontic treatment at no cost to their families. Every Orthivaro clinic sponsors at least one patient each year.

  • Who it’s for

    Kids ages 8–18 with a clear orthodontic need whose household income makes treatment out of reach.

  • What’s covered

    Exams, X-rays, braces or aligners, every adjustment visit and a set of retainers — 100% covered.

  • How it works

    Nominations are reviewed every quarter. Selected families meet their local orthodontist for a free exam within a few weeks.

Teachers, nurses, counselors, coaches and parents can all reach our Community team. We reply to every request within 10 business days.

Tell us a little about the child and why treatment would make a difference. Please include:

  • The child’s first name, age and city
  • Your relationship (teacher, nurse, parent…)
  • A parent or guardian’s phone or email

Open to public, private and charter schools, Head Start programs and community health fairs. We bring:

  • A licensed orthodontist and clinical team
  • Bilingual take-home notes for every parent
